Dolerite Spires
The Dolerite Spires are a maze of jagged volcanic pillars in Subnautica 2's starting region, shallow to mid depth, with Lithium and Titanium, Quaker's Meetinghouse and two Spires wrecks that All Things How lists for the High Capacity Air Tank and the Rebreather on the launch build.
The Dolerite Spires are a biome of jagged volcanic formations and stone pillars in Subnautica 2's starting region, a maze that is hard to find your way through without light (Beebom, May 19, 2026); All Things How lists it as shallow to mid depth, with Lithium and Titanium, Quaker's Meetinghouse, a Cicada Wreck (Canteen) and two Spires wrecks holding the High Capacity Air Tank and the Rebreather (May 20, 2026). "Dolerite Spires" is the guides' name: Unknown Worlds' notes do not use it, and neither guide gives a heading from the Lifepod; in Breathtaker's May 18, 2026 resource guide, on the launch build, the Spires lie "a bit southwest" of the Coral Gardens, with larger Titanium outcrops than the starting reef. Both describe the launch build of May 2026, before 1.1 (Jul 8, 2026) "moved and added rewards" in wrecks when it added traversal and oxygen puzzles (Unknown Worlds), so a wreck's contents may differ now.

The Spires wrecks: High Capacity Air Tank and Rebreather
All Things How lists Spires Wreck 1 for the High Capacity Air Tank and Spires Wreck 2 for the Rebreather (May 20, 2026), the two biggest early oxygen upgrades. Other guides place the same blueprints differently. Destructoid puts the Rebreather in a room behind a hatch engraved in a cliff wall, about 240 degrees from the Lifepod at about 88 m deep, in the same room as the Moonpool and a Tadpole fragment (May 16, 2026); All Things How also lists a Rebreather in Hills Wreck 1 in the Anemone Hills. Whether these are the same wreck under different names is not stated.
On Destructoid's launch-build recipe list, the High Capacity Air Tank is a Standard Air Tank plus 1 Plasteel Ingot, and the Rebreather is 2 Fiber Mesh plus 1 System Chip (May 16, 2026). Plasteel needs Lithium, which the Spires also have. See Equipment and Oxygen, Food and Water.
Quaker's Meetinghouse
Quaker's Meetinghouse is a colonist bunker with a Biobed: Destructoid finds the first Biobed fragment inside it, 250 m southwest of the Lifepod (May 16, 2026); Game Rant puts its Upgrade Biobed about 220 m southeast, with Chap's blackbox (May 23, 2026). Game Rant's other launch guides send you to "Quaker's signal", an abandoned base about 412 m north, for the Processor blueprint (second room, right corner) and a Sonic Resonator fragment on a shelf (Game Rant). Whether that base and the Meetinghouse are one place is not clear from the guides. See Blueprints and Scanning.
Lithium and the Spires' creatures
Lithium, which makes Plasteel Ingots and the Portable Oxygen Generator, is listed here by both guides; Game Rant's Lithium guide points to the lava caves of the Graveyard instead, which need Heat Tolerance (May 16, 2026). Beebom lists Hammerheads, which ram with a jet of water and are drawn to lights, Coral Crabs, Surge Jelly and the Great Jaw, the giant clam that All Things How places in the Tufa Zone to the south (Beebom). See Creatures.
Kingfisher's Jun 19, 2026 creature guide, made after Hotfix 3 and before 1.1, counts one Great Jaw on the map and places it in the Dolerite Spires: an upright clam that stores Lithium at its core and closes on you when you touch the tendons around it.
Breathtaker also finds Copper on the vertical cliff face that leads down to the Spires, best once you have a Sonic Resonator, and larger Silver nodes here and there across the Spires.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the Rebreather in Subnautica 2? All Things How lists it in Spires Wreck 2 in the Dolerite Spires; Destructoid finds it in a room behind an engraved hatch about 240 degrees from the Lifepod at about 88 m. Both are launch-build guides, and 1.1 moved some wreck rewards.
Where is the High Capacity Air Tank in Subnautica 2? All Things How lists it in Spires Wreck 1 in the Dolerite Spires, on the launch build; Destructoid's recipe is a Standard Air Tank and a Plasteel Ingot.
Where is Quaker's Meetinghouse in Subnautica 2? A colonist bunker with a Biobed, which Destructoid places 250 m southwest of the Lifepod and Game Rant about 220 m southeast; All Things How counts it in the Dolerite Spires.

Anemone HillsThe Anemone Hills are Subnautica 2's biome of towering pink-and-green anemones about 300 m northwest of the Lifepod, 0 to 151 m deep, where the infected Heat Tolerance Angel Comb waits behind Bloom you clear with the Sonic Resonator.
-
EquipmentSubnautica 2's wearable equipment is three air tanks (Standard, High Capacity, Ultra High Capacity), Basic and Improved Fins and the Rebreather, all made at the Fabricator, while carrying space grows at seven Upgrade Biobeds (five add 3 inventory slots each, two add a quickbar slot). The Standard Air Tank and Basic Fins are known from the start; the others are scanned or crafted from them.
-
Oxygen, Food and WaterSubnautica 2 tracks four stats, Health, Hunger, Thirst and Oxygen; oxygen starts at about 45 seconds and the Standard Air Tank adds 30. Water is crafted from Water Slugs at the Fabricator (+40 Water), and food is cooked fish and Fabricator meals, safe only after the Digestion Adaptation; until then the Lifepod's Nutrient Blocks are the food.
-
Blueprints and ScanningIn Subnautica 2 most blueprints are learned by scanning fragments with the Scanner, some in one scan and many in two or three; others unlock on picking up a material, from recipe data cards, or are known from the start. The Bioscanner, a Scanner upgraded at the Modification Station, is needed to scan creatures for Biomods. This page lists the key blueprint locations on the launch build, with the guides' conflicts. -
GraveyardThe Graveyard is Subnautica 2's hot, orange-watered biome, 0 to 266 m deep, that needs the Heat Tolerance Adaptation; it holds Gold, Salt, Sulfur and Lithium, the Tadpole Pens, Tailings Village, a Cicada Wreck, Nahema's Lab and hundreds of Water Slugs.
-
Great JawThe Great Jaw is Subnautica 2's giant clam Leviathan, about 350 m from the Lifepod at heading 195; it opens as you approach and snaps shut if you touch the red fibers in its core, and the lithium nodules it expels make it a lithium farm. Since update 1.2 you cannot build a base inside it.
